Preconference Work

The activities on this page are designed to begin the process of reflection and thinking about learning-centered education and how it might be applied within the context of your institution. The activities are also designed to encourage a sense of community among participants and facilitators of the Institute.

We are presenting 2-4 activities per week for the 4 weeks leading up to the Institute in Tucson. We encourage you to review these activities and allow time to complete them each week. We have indicated those activities which you will complete individually, and those that require you to discuss as a team. We have also included estimated times it will take you to complete each activity.

We hope you will embrace these opportunities to build community among your team members, engage with participants from other institutions, reflect about teaching and learning, and build momentum for participation in the Institute. We look forward to meeting you!
